4 Daily Habits For A Balanced Routine

Updated: Aug 17, 2021

We have rounded up the top four critical daily habits to create a kick-ass routine and take your day by storm.

As you think about simplifying your daily routine into the most essential tasks, we have boiled down our top four tips for tackling your day head on. Incorporating each task into your daily habits will help you to stay balanced and ready to conquer the day. Let's dive in.

DRINK WATER

“An estimated 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated"

According to the Mayo Clinic, "Water is your body's principal chemical component and makes up about 50% to 70% of your body weight. Your body depends on water to survive." Dehydration can lead to brain fog and cloudiness, lack of focus, and decreased energy. It is no wonder that we require hydration in order to function at peak level.

How can I make sure I stay hydrated?

Find a bottle that keeps your water cold throughout the day is crucial. Fill up 3 times throughout the day with your 25 oz Swell Bottle: morning, afternoon, and night to get your optimal water intake throughout the day.

TAKE VITAMINS

Vitamins, supplements, medicine. OH MY!

Taking your daily vitamins to help nourish your body is essential to starting the day out right. Incorporating this into your morning routine with breakfast (avoid taking on an empty stomach) along with any other supplements you may enjoy kicks off your day just right. Add in potentially needing to remember medicine and it can all be hard to keep track of.

I always forget to take my pills at the same time each day...

Find yourself a cute portable pill box that you can bring with you anywhere that contains individual compartments for each day of the week so you never lose track of taking your pills. Look for something compact, chic, and easily comes with you wherever you go. Keep on your nightstand as a reminder at night or in the morning to be the first thing you look at when you go to bed helps you to create a consistent routine with taking your pills.

EXERCISE

“Working out doesn't need to break the bank, cloud your space, or be a chore ”

We could throw a million and one stats at you about why exercise is important. So we have condensed it into the following: Just Do It.

Get your body moving and heart rate pumping for a minimum of 20 minutes a day. Especially for those of us who have been ("temporarily") working remote, this is more important than ever. A great trick for a visual reminder to pump it up is keeping weights close by. Keep these by your desk, bed, or in the kitchen and pickup a few times throughout the day. Making working out manageable, quick, and incorporating it throughout the day helps to make it become a regular part of your daily process.

MEDITATE

Meditation helps to create a sense of calm, peace and balance within your body which can be attributed to not only helping your emotional wellbeing in the moment but can create lasting benefits for your mental health overall. It can be as simple as 5 minutes a day.

Take frequent breaks to help manage stress, shift your mindset, and create intentional awareness of your surroundings to ground yourself and stabilize your emotional health.

IN SUMMARY

Each of these tasks alone can certainly help you create balance throughout your day. However, it is the critical combination of each of these four habits that will create the optimal balance for you to strengthen your mind, body, soul and conquer the day.
